Gigabyte X58A-UD9: A Massive Board for a Massive Score
Eight SATA II connectors along with two SATA III connectors line up on the right side of the board. There is also one IDE port. On the background of this picture, you can see the massive southbridge heatsink, with the number ”9” written on it.
Both the power and reset buttons are located next to the memory slots. Thanks to their different physical appearances, these two buttons are easily recognizable so that you won’t press the wrong button by accident.
As we’ve previously mentioned, the X58A-UD9 is one massive board. With its XL-ATX form factor, you need a special kind of casing if you ever want to fit this motherboard inside some kind of an enclosure.
