HP Pavilion dm4: Beautifully Designed for Corporate Users
Hardware Features
The HP Pavilion dm4 provides a complete selection of I/O ports. One of the USB connectors also doubles as an eSATA port, enabling you to connect a variety of high-speed external storage devices. By opening up the compartments on the bottom side, you can gain access to different hardware components, such as the hard disk, memory, and Wi-Fi modules. This is particularly useful when you want to upgrade in future times.
As you flip it open, you can see that the keyboard section is designed as beautifully as the exterior shell. The handrest shares a similar textured design as the back of the LCD screen. With chicklet buttons, the black keyboard feels comfortable to type on while adding up to the overall appearance factor. The black, multi-touch enabled touchpad stands out from the rest of the handrest section. Both the left and right click buttons react with a soft press, making them comfortable and easy to use.
To the right of the touchpad, you can find a fingerprint scanner. This feature could come in handy if you need to prevent the notebook from being used by the wrong person. The stickers attached to this notebook’s handrest and the rear side of its LCD screen presents a slight “distortion” to the overall looks, in our opinion. Why don’t they just put the stickers someplace else, like the bottom side, to secure them from view?
