G. DUO includes two radios operating in 802.11b / g. & two access points in a single device for different application environments.

With two radios operating in 802.11b / g in a single device and supporting multiple modes of operation, G.Duo — AirLive latest innovation responds to various needs of wireless connectivity.  G. Duo can act as a router and as an access point with PoE and 2 radio wireless b / g in a single device. It is the ideal solution for wireless service providers as 2 ways-CPE, thus reducing the cost of deployment, and also holds multiple operating modes for different application environments.

In addition, both radios are high power (26dBm) to cover long distances.  The power can be auto generated by selecting country setting from G.Duo’s UI.  For example, residential customers of Internet service providers can configure the radio as a WISP to connect to external Wi-Fi, and two radio configuration as an AP to provide connectivity to your network of PCs and notebooks.

In addition, you can install the radio as a “WDS bridge” to increase wireless coverage and radio 2 as an access point to connect customers laptops or smartphones’ Wi-Fi in department stores, shops, offices and hotels.

The AirLive AirLogic management interface lets you choose the way to set the machine simply according to their needs.   The software embedded in G. Duo is based on the new architecture AirLogic. The core system is consolidated in the already known high-performance architecture and variety of functions includes features as: firmware recovery, multiple modes of operation, bandwidth control, and etc.

Application in connection with wireless providers

Normally the facilities of Internet service providers require a wireless access point to connect to the provider, and another AP to distribute the signal between the LAN clients. This does not only lead to more costs, but also more space and makes installation more complicated. G. Duo, the way “WISP + AP” addresses this need and also makes installation much simpler.

–1st application is preferred by ISPs to set the radio 1 to connect to a WiFi network and external radio 2 as AP to access notebooks and internal areas.

–2nd application is to set radio 1 in bridge mode and radio 2 in AP mode that can be perfect for WiFi applications of broad coverage such as malls, shops, parks, warehouses and offices.

–The 3rd application is dual AP, perfect for offices, hotels, shopping malls, warehouses and industries, and still allows residential users to share Internet with your neighbors.

In order to reduce the need of the minimum equipments, cables, etc…, G. Duo can help to create a structure simplified the infrastructure for hotel, emprise, park, public area, and wireless service providers.  With the way “WDS + AP”, G. DUO can dedicate a radio to establish a “bridge” between access points, while the other radio provides wireless access to customers, eliminating the need for cables between the APs. In addition, the network port with PoE support enables installation in areas without electrical power.
