Motherboard Rampage IV Extreme dari seri Republic of Gamers (ROG) Asus memang luar biasa. Namun, ada kalanya pengguna tidak membutuhkan beberapa feature yang disediakan dan lebih tertarik pada ukuran fisik yang lebih ringkas. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan ini, Asus menyediakan seri Rampage Gene, motherboard micro-ATX yang juga anggota dari keluarga ROG.
Rampage IV Gene adalah versi terbaru yang sudah dilengkapi dengan chipset Intel X79 untuk prosesor Sandy Bridge Extreme (socket LGA 2011). Biarpun berukuran kecil, Motherboard micro-ATX ini dijejali berbagai feature kelas atas seperti dukungan memori DDR3 hingga 2400 MHz dan PCI-Express 3.0.
