Power ConsumptionIf you overclock the Core i5 655K without modifying the stock voltage, it will only consume a bit more power compared to the default condition (during 100% CPU load). On both our P55 and H55-based platforms (133 baseclock x31 multiplier overclock), we measured a power consumption of only 11watts higher than standard setting. It’s a different story if you decided to bump the voltage a notch or two, however.
