Acer Aspire 4741: an Affordable Beauty
Here are the locations of Aspire 4741’s I/O ports and optical drive, conveniently located along the sides for easy access (but that’s also the case with any other notebook, so there’s nothing really special here).
However, such nice outer shell would be for nothing if not supported by a list of sufficiently powerful hardwares. Fortunately, the Aspire 4741 is also well equipped in terms of technical specification. With its Intel Core i3 processor and 2 GB DDR3 memory, this notebook should be able to run most applications without significant slowdowns.
Aside from that, the Acer Aspire 4741 has a complete array of I/O connectors. The Intel GMA HD graphics may not look like much, but it still packs enough power to play 1080P full-HD movies smoothly. If the 14” screen is somehow restricting your multimedia enjoyment, you can always hook an external HD display to Aspire 4741’s HDMI port. As it seems to me, this notebook is designed for budget-minded consumers looking for a reasonably well-equipped notebook that also look good in the eyes.
“Waterlily” keyboard button-style, first seen on the Timeline series, is also found on the Aspire 4741. I like the chrome lining around the touchpad. It adds a fancy touch to the hand rest section. The piano-finish bezel of the LCD screen adds up to the notebook’s good looks. It’s fun to watch movies on this glossy (glare) screen, but when used outside, all sort of object reflections start appearing on the LCD.
