NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 – An Even More Affordable Version of Fermi
Graphics Card
For our testing purposes this time, we received two GeForce GTS 450 samples from two different graphics card makers. They are:
-
Palit GTS 450 1GB Sonic Platimum (930 MHz / 1860 MHz / 4000 MHz)

-
MSI N450GTS Cyclone 1GD5 (850 MHz / 1700 MHz / 4000 MHz)

Since both GTS 450s came pre-overclocked, we had to lower their frequencies to match NVIDIA’s standard reference speed. We also brought in the GeForce GTS 250 and Radeon HD 5770 from ATI for comparison purposes. It would be interesting to see where the GTS 450 sits amongst the other GPUs in its class. Our testing platform is as follows.
