With normal tessellation, Palit GTS 450 Sonic Version once again scored a 17% lead over the reference GTS 450 at both resolutions. At 1360×768, the situation remained when we increased the tessellations setting to “Extreme”, while at 1920×1080 the gap was marginally widened to 18%.

Setting : Hardware Acceleration On
During MPEG4 1920×1080 video transcoding, the reference GeForce GTS 450 was approximately 18% slower compared to Palit’s Sonic Platinum. While in 720×480 video transcoding scenario, there was no performance difference at all between the two graphics cards.
Power Consumption

With its slightly higher operating frequencies, under full load conditions, Palit GTS 450 consumes 23 watt more power compared to the reference version of GTS 450. When idle, both cards consume just as much power.
