We used the following hardware combination in our speed test:

• Processor: Intel Core i7 930
• Motherboard: Intel X58
• Storage: 2x Western Digital Black 500GB in RAID-0 configuration
• RAM: 3x 1 GB
• Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275

Test Results

From the results obtained using this test, it appears that Kingston really delivers their promise. HD Tune recorded an average transfer rate of around 85 MB/s.

As for the write speed, the average number also hovers close to the manufacturer’s claim.
