Review-Gigabyte G1.Assassin: High-end Gaming in “Military” Style, Part 1 (Features)

One of the most notable features of the G1. Assassin is its military styling. Aside from the military-ish dark green color theme, the heatsink, which Gigabyte calls the “Super Shield”, is shaped like an assault rifle magazine to further enhance the militaristic impression.

You can even spot a “bullet” on the feeding end of the magazine-like heatsink. It’s not a real one of course.

On the bottom of the “magazine”, there’s a disclaimer stating that the heatsink cannot be used with a real firearm… Just in case.

The northbridge heatsink has five green LEDS that light up during motherboard operation.

On the VRM section, the heatsink assembly is shaped like a gun muzzle.
