Review-Palit GeForce GTX 560 Sonic Platinum: NVIDIA’s New “Sweet-Spot” Graphics Card

This is the graphics card itself. Palit uses a custom HSF for its GTX 560 products. The PCB design is also non-reference, with a layout that looks similar with previous graphics cards from Palit.
Uncovering the cooler’s plastic cover reveals the heatsink unit hidden underneath it.


A pair of copper heat pipes transfers the heat from the heatsink base to the aluminum fins that rest above it.
The cooler uses an 8-cm fan to dissipate heat from its aluminum fins. To get an idea on how well it performs, we ran a couple of Unigine 2.1 benchmark runs and measured the temperature. Here are our readings:
