Memburu motherboard murah dengan chipset Intel Z77 memang membutuhkan kejelian tersendiri. Hal ini memang tidak aneh karena terkadang di level harga tertentu pengguna dapat menemukan beragam pilihan motherboard dari beberapa produsen. Apa yang ditawarkan produsen satu dan produsen lainnya akan berbeda-beda, meskipun feature standar chipset Intel Z77 dapat ditemukan di semua motherboard yang menggunakan chipset tersebut.

Salah satu produsen motherboard yang mencoba menawarkan motherboard murah dengan chipset Intel Z77 adalah ASRock dengan salah satu produknya Z77 Extreme4. Motherboard seri Extreme dapat dikatakan sebagai motherboard kelas atas dari ASRock dengan feature lebih lengkap dibandingkan seri lainnya. Meskipun begitu, Z77 Extreme4 merupakan tipe paling murah dari lini motherboard “Z77 Extreme” dengan faktor bentuk ATX.
