Taipei, Taiwan, 18^th Sept, 2011 – GIGABYTE Technology, a world leading manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards is pleased to announce their first and very own GIGABYTE Cup eSport tournament series has came to an end on August 29^th. More than 2,000 unique participants took apart for the twelve Monday’s GIGABYTE Cup. Everybody had the chance to participate in the weekly tournament. During the whole time, live broadcasting was given in five different languages.

Eight Zergs, four Terrans and four Protoss fought their way to GIGABYTE Cup Season Grand Final and start the battle for the ultimate showdown. In the end, it was the famous Ukrainian Zerg player Dmytro “DIMAGA” Filipchuk, who was able to beat Ilyes “Stephano” Satouri on five exciting maps in the final. The top 3 winners have won a total prize money of 750 Euro and GIGABYTE premium gaming products – GTX 560 Ti OC Edition Graphics Cards (GV-N560OC-1GI), Aivia K8100 Macro Gaming Keyboard and Aivia M8600 Macro Gaming Mouse!

Thanks for all the gamers who participated the GIGABYTE Cup Season I Tournaments. GIGABYTE did a huge progress on holding a brand-owned eSport and is excited to congratulate “DIMAGA” from Ukraine, “Stephano” from France, and “Satiini” from Finland who are the Top 3 of the grand final!
