Review-Motherboard ASRock A55 Pro 3: Chipset A55, “Rasa” A75
Hampir setahun telah berlalu semenjak kemunculan prosesor “AMD A-Series APU”, yang juga dikenal lewat sebutan codename Llano. Produk-produk motherboard ber-socket FM1 yang mendukung prosesor A-Series dari AMD pun sudah banyak bermunculan dan menjadi semakin matang, contohnya seperti ASRock A55 Pro 3 ini.
Untuk menambah kemampuan motherboard ini, ASRock menanamkan serangkaian feature khasnya, seperti XFast RAM, XFast USB, dan XFast LAN. ASRock juga mengklaim kinerja grafis yang lebih mumpuni dibanding motherboard lain sekelasnya. Satu hal yang cukup unik adalah dukungan kecepatan RAM hingga 2400 MHz.
Chipset A55
Seperti namanya, ASRock A55 Pro 3 menggunakan chipset AMD A55, salah satu dari dua chipset yang khusus ditujukan untuk mendukung platform socket FM1. AMD A55 identik dengan chipset FM1 lainnya, A75, kecuali dalam hal dukungan interface USB 3.0 dan SATA 6 Gbps. Tidak seperti A75, A55 datang tanpa native support dua interface storage berkecepatan tinggi tersebut.
Lalu, apakah calon ASRock A55 Pro 3 tidak dapat menggunakan strorage berbasis USB 3.0 dan SATA 6 Gbps? Tenang saja, ASRock telah menyiapkan solusi berupa chip controller eksternal sehingga Anda tetap dapat menikmati kecepatan tinggi dari hard disk maupun flashdrive keluaran terbaru. Tambahan tersebut sekaligus sedikit menutup gap feature antara A55 dan A75.
